One of my readers was so inspired after reading part 1 of this article that she sent me a message thanking me for it and telling me how intrigued she was to see what I was going to write in part 2. I thought it was quite funny.
If you read part 1 of this blog post, you’ll see I talk a lot about my mother’s story of recovery from cancer and how she managed to completely heal herself from leukaemia by changing her diet to raw foods and adopting other healthy lifestyle habits.
The question I ask is: why don’t we see stories like my mother’s reported in the news more often? And not only like my mother’s, but also the thousands of cases of people all around the world that have overcome deadly diseases by adopting natural health habits instead of following the traditional medical advice of taking harmful drugs and going through toxic treatments?
I guess we know the answer to this question: overcoming diseases by changing your diet doesn’t make money, neither for the pharmaceutical industry, the medical profession, or the food industry.
So what do you think rules the world? Truth? Logic? Common sense? Nope! It’s money that rules the world.
I vividly remember watching BBC News in London on a rare occasion where a woman was invited on the news to talk about how she also overcame cancer with diet. And after telling her story… she asked the newsperson the same question I am asking: why don’t we see cases of cancer recovery like mine more often shown on the news? The BBC journalist kept silent and didn’t answer the question.
Sadly, the scandal doesn’t end there.
The fact of the matter is that we know the causes of most diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and hundreds of other ailments affecting human beings, and it still seems the right answer isn’t getting through to the majority of the population. Why is that?
I was a DJ. A music producer. A normal person just like you. How did I manage to overcome atherosclerosis, lower back pain, depression, multiple addictions, gum disease, ear infections, and many other ailments I had suffered from for so many years, not through medicine, but instead simply changing my diet to raw foods and adopting some natural health habits?

Obviously, the right solution is out there, and should be easily accessible for everyone else to do the same; but somehow the right information is not reaching the majority of the public.
What are the forces that are keeping the facts and the truths suppressed?
I was so intrigued by this dilemma that, after studying natural health for 6 years, I decided to research politics and communication to see what I could find, and what I found shocked me.
Someone once said: money doesn’t affect every issue in politics but it affects most of them. If you want to understand politics and know why things happen the way they do, there is a saying that goes: follow the money.
In my book, Health For Life I write: Healthy people doesn’t make money, sick people do. Doctors, hospitals, drug companies, and insurance companies benefit from sickness, and all the financial incentives point towards sickness.
In the USA, the FDA supports its constituency, which is the food industry, and not the public. Similar criteria apply for the food standards agency in the UK, and all food governing departments of most countries in the world.
Eating a raw vegan diet, along with other healthy activities, makes people a lot healthier, which in turn, means the world would end up with a rather unprofitable health system.
The biggest global industry in the world, the food industry, is not even remotely interested in the state of your health, and it is only there to make money.
Arguably the most important intellectual person alive, Professor Noam Chomsky, asserts that America has a system of indoctrination, including a system of propaganda, imposed largely by media.
In essence and for the most part, the press only gives you the news their ownership want you to know.
Healing cancer naturally by changing your diet doesn’t make money for anybody. Don’t even bother consulting your doctor about this; doctors don’t study nutrition.
‘Ariel, what about “qualified” dieticians and nutritionists?’ You may ask. Do they know how to heal cancer and other diseases through diet?
Most of them don’t, because the indoctrination system not only affects the media, it affects schools and universities.
The late US president, Dwight D. Eisenhower, was quoted as saying, “When a university accepts a large federal allocation of funds, a university ceased to be free, where you should have free inquiries and so on…”
This explains why, in my experience, you can’t fully trust the practices of the so called “professionals” of health such as doctors and dieticians, along with others when it comes to matters of health, without your actions being first backed up and guided by your own independent research.
And this is the reason why I studied health and nutrition independently.
And, in case you feel this is conspiracy theory of some sort? Fear not, it is in the real world of deceit, profits, and greed we all live. Or as the great late American author, Gore Vidal, once said, “apparently, `conspiracy stuff’ is now shorthand for unspeakable truth.”
The purpose of this article is not to suggest that your family doctor is hiding anything from you, because he is not.
The core of the issue is something that started over 100 years ago. The monopoly that medicine has on health focuses on spending money investing in fighting ‘symptoms’ and creating new drugs and diseases instead of tackling the real cause of most health problems: faulty education and practicing effective prevention.
I do believe that taking medicine in certain cases is advisable, and even beneficial, but the majority of our health issues can start being solved by eating the correct diet.
Eating the standard western diet is an abomination. It’s like living in the dark ages of nutrition. It’s slowly killing you and it’s killing our planet. It’s unsustainable.
And then comes the other important question: Why does the general public not agree on which diet is the best diet for humans? I mean for all humans, since, just like the rest of animals, we are all meant to eat the same diet. Aren’t we?
Have you seen some lions eating meat and other lions eating bananas and apples by any chance? Of course not, all lions are carnivorous. Correct?
Our anatomy and physiology tell us we are frugivorous. This is not an open debate. This is fact. If you are in doubt, read some biology books.
In fact, nutrition is no science. Do you ever ask yourself why wild animals are never overweight or underweight?
And just to clarify, the term ‘wild animals’ refers to species that live in a natural, undomesticated state and environment.
For instance: have you ever seen an overweight giraffe, an overweight tiger, or an obese crocodile? The answer is no, because the only species on the planet that have weight problems are humans, and the domesticated animals whose eating habits we control, such as dogs and cats.
Wild animals don’t experience considerable weight fluctuations because they eat according to their “instincts”, and not logic or intelligence. They are not blinded by commerce either.

We cannot separate human beings from any other biological system. In order to understand how your body works, and to succeed with your diet and your health, you need to study Nature. And it’s less complicated that you may think, or as Galileo famously quoted: “Nature is simple”.
But you need to make an effort to learn. Watching a few videos by some health “gurus” on YouTube won’t do the trick; you need to read some literature.
Mother Nature doesn’t provide all the answers in a silver platter, but at least (and unlike men) she does not go out of her way to set up barriers to understanding.
I often explain to people that part of learning consists of the “undoing“ of the brainwashing we have received since birth, or as I call it: “counter-brainwashing”.
It’s much easier and profitable to spread the message of “reinforcement” than telling people what they are doing is wrong.
If I wanted to make lots of money in this field, I wouldn’t be writing books on natural health. I’d be promoting a Paleo diet and writing a book about the benefits of eating bacon, and it would sell by the millions.
The majority of the public are terribly ignorant. They don’t read books, or even newspapers, so they believe what they are being told, which works great for economics interest that rule the world.
Privilege and power doesn’t want people to think, because then they can’t react.
As the late, great British politician, Tony Benn once said, “an educated, healthy, and confident nation is harder to govern.”
Most people in our society are so ill formed and brainwashed that they refer to everything outside the reach of medicine and whatever they cannot explain as “pseudoscience”.
They are the same people dying of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and thousands of other preventable diseases! Why are they telling me, and other like-minded healthy people, what food we should be eating?
And these are the same people that still believe in the illusion you can get “healthy” by taking pharmaceutical drugs. It’s a lazy way of thinking, is it? It’s much easier to stuff any crap in your mouth and expect a magic pill to solve all your problems, right? Well… The stupidity of human beings I call it.
And then there are the people that don’t want to hear the truth, especially if they have been indoctrinated into a belief system that upholds their way of life, no matter how wrong their actions may be. And so they take special pleasure in bringing everyone else down with them, as it makes them feel less guilty about their own food habits. A bit like drug use.
I believe the two biggest diseases in the world are greed and ignorance.
The worst thing I can think of is dying in ignorance. That’s why I treasured all the years I spent studying natural health. It has been the most rewarding and enjoyable time of my life.
Studying biology and natural health sciences is not about what you cover, but what you “discover”. It is real learning. An enlightened style of learning.
When we see the world around us and how fast it is moving, we often feel powerless to change things, but the biggest change of all is changing yourself, so you can lead others by example.
The improved quality of life and health benefits from eating a raw diet are enormous, but there is also an economic factor that comes into account.
In a previous post I told the story about how I overcame my long term addiction to painkillers. It turned I ended up saying tons of money in the process.
I calculated that since I started this diet and lifestyle, I have saved $25 a day on food and other health related expenses.
And you know what? I love the fact I am depriving pharmaceutical companies, junk food industries, health insurance companies, and many other leaches and pollutants of our health system of their beloved cash.
And you’ll love it too if you start saving money on those expenses, because you‘ll be hurting those folks where it hurts the most.
And not only that but by adopting a plant based diet, you’d be doing the most responsible act, which is protecting the environment and safeguarding the planet for future generations.
This I believe is real change.

Ariel, I am right there with you. I have lost 100 pounds and reversed many diseases including severe sleep apnea. I set out to lose weight but have gotten so much more. Have you heard of the Woodstock Fruit Festival? Maybe you would like to be a speaker there. It is an awesome time! 600 to 700 people show up in upper state New York and spend an amazing week together. Check it out.
Laurie
Thanks Laurie, more power to you. 🙂
Hi Laurie! How did you reverse sleep apnea? I have it and I want it gone!
Would you ever be interested in discussing why people improve in Paleo/AIP or why people live for decades on ketogenic diets and stay “healthy”? Not from the standpoint of having to prove yourself, but I suppose I’m just confused as to why this might be.
It is nothing to do with “my diet”. It is to do with biology. If you want to learn biology, you need to study it, just like anything else.
Any time you cut out processed foods and move away from the standard American diet, you will see some improvement. I believe that the reason people see improvement on Paleo and Keto diets is because they have cut the processed food out, plus they usually focus on eating organic foods and grass fed/pasture raised animals. That still does not mean they are functioning at their best even though they have seen inprovement. I have tried several different diets and have never felt better or seen the dramatic improvement that I have seen since eating a whole food plant based diet, especially while eating raw. Paleo is better than the standard American diet, but the health benefits are not as powerful as a raw food diet. Everyone who I have heard of who have healed major diseases have done it with a raw food diet. If you look up Chris Wark and also Dr Richard Schulze you will find many examples of people healing on a raw food diet. In the Bible in Genesis 1:29 it says “And God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.’” I believe His original intent was for us to eat plants and that is how we will find the beat health.
What do you suggest as a start to educate myself or any other person in biology and nutrition? There’s a ton of information out there and a few key suggestions would be nice. Thanks!
Various sources. Natural Hygiene education is key though. Starting reading Herbert Shelton would be a good start.
Thanks Ariel. This one was nice to read. You really shared some thoughts with us which needed to be shared. You spoke out some very simple yet impactful truths and facts. You assured me that I am on the right path. You motivated me to go all the way to 100% Raw.
You have my blessings and love,
Daniel
Thanks for your comment Daniel.
I am glad I am able to help. 🙂
One of the best articles I’ve ever read.
Great article. My husband and I are vegans and appreciate your insights. Keep sharing!
I really would love to learn , how you save on the food i find eating raw is more expensive for me , eating organic and raw , very expensive ,as i do not eat the cooked grains and pasta or potatoes , big portions of salads do cost a lot. also wonder if you eat lots of fruits and if you 100% or have oils at all ? and things like tahini?
Am not much of a cook, so I like to grab food and go. I’ve gotten into doing smoothies when I can, and just did a 6 week raw food diet with Doctor Goldner – veganmedicaldoctor.com – via on line. Am now attempting to stay at least 75% raw.
So my question is that I find things to grab and go, but most have nuts and seeds as the main item. So they’re all high in calories, and I feel OD’d with nuts and seeds! I do attempt to get items with the flax and chia in them for the omega 3’s. And am not sure what to eat at breakfast when there’s no time for a smoothie. And am not sure what to do totally when traveling.
Maybe at some point you could teach an online nutrition course re raw food eating and how to stay raw when traveling.
Any input is appreciated. We need more people getting the word out like you and Dr Goldner are doing! She had lupus and cured herself by eating raw. She now has two kids, and eats 75% raw, the rest plant cooked. Her husband is the vegan bodybuilder/teacher Thomas Tadlock.
Have understood oils are a no, and if you have to use some, use avocado or extra virgin olive oil. Would also love to know more re coconut oil, sugar, meat etc on is it healthy or not – confusing with what info I know so far. Thanks much!
Thanks for your feedback. I much appreciate it. 🙂
Irene,
I adore Dr.Brokke Goldner! I was a hairdresser in Austin when she became a client of mine. Her story is so inspirational ! She planted a seed with me to Go Vegan back in 2017. I first needed to relinquished my alcohol consumption, so as to be of sound mind. It was two years later that I would began my vegan transformation. So far,so good. I have completed my first year and now I am challenging myself to go Raw.
Ariel,
Thank you for sharing your story. Just knowing that there are others out there who truly care, gives me the courage to persevere .
Irene, there’s nothing in the world more portable than fresh fruit for breakfast!
Absolutely. xx
Ariel you are a beautiful bright light of wisdom and truth much love and gratitude we speak much the same language I speak through the balance of pH .
Death may sustain life for a few decades .
Life will give life and help us reach our for life potential . Which is hundreds of years not just a few decades .
The only devil and evil is the acidity that mankind feeds ourselves and swims in .
True freedom will come when all living spirit fines and sees each other as a loving equal .
Cooking is killing and killing us and our planet .
And there is nothing more alkalinizing then love and gratitude .
It’s amazing the love receipt from nature when you’re no longer willing to reach out and even kill a mosquito .
This past April is six years now ,that I sent my oven stove microwave and all cooking utensils to the scrapyard, put my TV in the front yard, now it has to do it time watching me play on my playground .

Always prayers of joyous divine prosperity ( freedom ) peace love and gratitude .
Thanks for your lovely comment Henry. More power to you. 🙂
Agree 100%. Loved reading these articles. I believe in due time eating raw will become the norm.
But not before I exit the planet 60yrs now.
Blessings to you. Enjoy your healthy, happy live and keep spreading the word. You are following your purpose for this lifetime. Assisting the shift.
Ariel I agree with every word you say and have very similar feelings about humans and society! keep spreading the truth, I do so myself in my own way but hope to do more in the future. I am currently studying with Dr Dave Klein and hope to be of more help to others in the future.
Blessings Dawn
Thanks Dawn. More power to you. 🙂 David Klein is good. I own many of his books. 🙂
I did the whole raw food diet and felt great. But feel even better with a whole foods diet with meat. I live in -40 C weather and winter 6 months. I was always freezing and cold and no energy. I could do all raw in Costa Rica but not Northern Canada. I think those issues need to be addressed also. I found eating within the seasons, ferments and a whole foods diet makes since. Let’s be realistic here. We don’t grow bananas, avocados, dates and other tropical fruits here and we shouldn’t be eating them in abundance in regions you can’t grow them. I know many raw foodist who have been on this path 20+ years and they can’t sleep and going a little nutty. We need balance, not extremity. And there is a LOT of biology that shows we are designed to eat meat. But not in the ignorant abundance people do today. We over consume. Even animals eat meat in small quantities.
Everyone wants to point to Big Pharma, Manufactured Consent, Evil Government agendas but the one really responsible for all this is YOU and your ignorance. People somehow think that having an opinion, believing the commonly held belief of the public or hearing a TV commercial (Milk does a body good) is somehow proof that they are right and everything else is wrong. People are stupid, ignorant, under-educated, over-opinionated and somehow still incredibly arrogant about all of it. I shouldn’t really say “people” here because you will look outside yourself as the blame for all this on “people”. Rather I should say YOU are stupid, ignorant, under-educated, over-opinionated. ALL OF YOU are, myself included obviously.
The only difference here is there are Seekers and there are Non-Seekers. Seekers seek truth, non-seekers accept what they are told to believe because they don’t really care what truth is. They are fundamentally lazy and of course ignorance, ego and several other factors are in play here.
I’m starting to believe that being a Seeker is a calling and not acquired through knowledge. It puts you on the wrong side of everything in the world…diet, nutrition, religion, politics, etc.. It is a hard life because the masses follow the mass (media, religious ideology, opinions).
So many people have the obvious truth right in front of their faces and can’t even recognize it because their cup is already full with their imposed “truths”. And the ones with the open minds and earned knowledge are labeled as crazy. I get it, who would choose this for themselves..? There are so many times I type a comment to an article and then erase it because I hear the backlash of the ignorant even before I’m done typing. You can obviously hear my frustration/anger in my writing even though I wish it wasn’t that way and I was a perfectly loving person 😉
That’s why I’m very proud of this author because he pushed through all that and still put it out there. He labeled all the opposition before he posted it and still had the feeling of love and wanting to help his fellow humans even though he knew it would fall on deaf ears mostly. But even if the only the Seekers “get it” and maybe the few who haven’t realized they’re Seekers yet see this and are encouraged then it’s worth it. 🙂
Loved the quote: “Apparently, `conspiracy stuff’ is now shorthand for unspeakable truth.” – Gore Vidal
Although I choose to eat a vegan diet for many reasons, I know it’s not for everybody. My good friend who has a rare neurological disorder reversed it by eating a zero carb diet which includes meat. And when I studied Northern Indigenous populations, I learned that the Arctic climate and physiology of their peoples were best suited to eating meat (by hunting and fishing locally). So, while a raw vegan diet is good for many, it’s not good for all.
I do agree with the author about the food industry and health industry being solely motivated by profits. And I agree that greed and ignorance are the root of all problems we see in society.
Hi Ariel,
Great article! I’m interested to know what natural health courses you studied?
I’m a nurse and for past ten years have gone between raw, alkaline, vegan, Palo and letting free diets. Finding one diet difficult to stick to due to family/friends, socializing, shift work, time constraints etc I was also vegan for ten years from age of 18 and through two pregnancies.
Most dietary courses I look into, as you may know, don’t focus on raw diets. And the raw diet courses/ workshops are way too expensive for my budget or overseas, I live in rural South West Australia.
I would love to find a course that’s right for me so I can make a career change and improve my health and weight problems…
I’m interested in the science behind nutrition in young children. Everything that I have read suggests that the developing digestive system is not able to effectively process raw fruits and vegetables. But at around six months of age our need for iron spikes dramatically. And the best form of iron and other easily assimilated nutrients is organ meats.
There are many iron rich rich foods in the plant kingdom. Sarsaparilla root has one of the highest levels.
